  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts, boneless skinless
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 medium Yellow onion Diced
  • 2 cups Chicken broth, low-sodium
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce, low-sodium
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Cayenne pepper Adjust for spice preference
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cup Heavy cream

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and paprika.
  2. Dredge the seasoned chicken in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add the chicken. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes.
  2. Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and soy sauce, stirring to combine.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, adjust seasoning if necessary, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, perfect for soaking up with biscuits or cornbread.

Notes

Ensure the skillet is hot enough before adding the chicken to get a good sear. Adjust cayenne pepper based on spice preference. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
