For the Sauce
  • 3 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup All purpose flour
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
For the Pork Chops
  • 4 slices Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 pieces Pork chops, bone-in
  • 3/8 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Method
 

Cooking the Bacon
  1. In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
Cooking the Pork Chops
  1. In the same skillet, season pork chops with salt and pepper and cook until browned on both sides.
  2. Remove chops and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the skillet, add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  2. Stir in garlic powder, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, and flour until well combined.
  3. Slowly whisk in milk and heavy cream, allowing the sauce to thicken.
Final Cooking
  1. Return pork chops to the skillet, cover with sauce, and simmer until cooked through.
  2. Sprinkle bacon on top before serving.

Notes

Serve the pork chops hot with sauce spooned over them. Good sides are mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables. A simple green salad adds a fresh note. Add a little extra crumbled bacon on top for texture. Use a heavy skillet to brown the chops well. Do not rush the sauce; whisk slowly when adding milk to avoid lumps. Taste for salt after the sauce thickens.
