Ingredients
  

For the Pepper Steak Stir-Fry
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced Look for bright red meat with good marbling.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For cooking the beef.
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce For dairy-free, skip or use a plant-based alternative.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 lb frozen French fries For the crispy side.
  • Salt to taste Salt to taste
For the Garden Salad
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cucumber sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For the salad.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper to taste For seasoning the salad.

Method
 

Preparation of Ingredients
  1. Begin by marinating the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and black pepper for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Bake or air-fry the French fries according to package directions until golden brown and crispy.
Cooking the Vegetables
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and peppers, cooking until tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
Cooking the Beef and Plating
  1. Push the vegetables to the side, then add marinated beef to the skillet. Cook over high heat for about 5 minutes until browned.
  2. Plate the stir-fry alongside the crispy fries and garden salad. Drizzle salad with olive oil and lemon juice.

Notes

Serve with a light cucumber salad and a cold drink like iced tea or lemonade. The dish pairs wonderfully for a weeknight dinner or casual gathering.
