Method
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix sliced sirloin with soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for 20 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to about 375°F (190°C). Fry the thick potato fries in small batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over high heat, then add marinated steak strips. Sear for 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Add the sliced red and yellow bell peppers and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
Salad Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine chopped romaine lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and chopped parsley. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
- Plate the pepper steak alongside crispy fries and the fresh garden salad.
Notes
For depth of flavor, try adding a splash of sesame oil to the marinade. For crispier fries, soak them in cold water for 30 minutes before frying.
