Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, sliced into strips Look for cuts with marbling for flavor and tenderness.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Use gluten-free soy sauce for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into thick fries Consider using Yukon Gold for creamier texture.
Salad ingredients
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for dressing)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix sliced sirloin with soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to about 375°F (190°C). Fry the thick potato fries in small batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over high heat, then add marinated steak strips. Sear for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  2. Add the sliced red and yellow bell peppers and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
Salad Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine chopped romaine lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and chopped parsley. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Plate the pepper steak alongside crispy fries and the fresh garden salad.

Notes

For depth of flavor, try adding a splash of sesame oil to the marinade. For crispier fries, soak them in cold water for 30 minutes before frying.
