  • 1 Egg 1 Egg
  • 4 tbsp 4 tbsp Raspberry preserves
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 sheet 1 sheet Puff pastry
  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp Milk

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  3. Place the shaped pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk the egg and milk together. Brush the mixture over the pastry.
  5. Add a spoonful of raspberry preserves in the center of each heart.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. In another bowl, mix the powdered sugar and vanilla extract with a little water to create a glaze.
  8. Once the danishes are cool, drizzle the glaze over them.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature with coffee, tea, or milk. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days, reheating briefly in a low oven to refresh flakiness.
