  • 1 lb beef strips (sirloin or steak) Look for sirloin or steak with nice marbling for flavor.
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
  • 3 large potatoes, cut into fries Can be fried or baked.
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced Fresh is better.
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor.
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Can substitute with gluten-free soy sauce.
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • to taste Salt & black pepper
  • 2 cups lettuce Fresh, for salad.
  • 1 tomato, diced For salad.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For sautéing vegetables.
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley For salad garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven or fryer. Cut the potatoes into fries and fry or bake them until they're golden brown and crispy.
  2. While the fries are cooking, prepare jasmine rice according to package instructions.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sliced onions, sautéing until softened and fragrant.
  2. Incorporate your bell peppers and beef strips into the skillet. Stir-fry at high heat, mixing in soy sauce, oyster sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Assembly
  1. Combine lettuce, diced tomatoes, and chopped parsley in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and a pinch of salt.
  2. Plate the dish by arranging the fries, rice, beef stir-fry, and salad on a serving plate.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days in an airtight container. For freezing, store portions in freezer bags for up to three months.
