Ingredients

For the Steak and Shrimp
  • 1 piece ribeye or sirloin steak Opt for marbled ribeye for rich flavor or sirloin for a leaner cut.
  • 250 g shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 tbsp butter Can use olive oil for a dairy-free option.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
For the Sides
  • 4 medium potatoes (cubed) Boil and mash for a creamy side.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp parsley (chopped) For garnish.
  • 1 piece green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method

Preparation
  1. Generously season your steak with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Cajun seasoning.
  2. Boil the cubed potatoes until tender, around 15-20 minutes, then drain and mash.
Cooking
  1. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  2. In the same pan, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Then add the shrimp and sliced green bell peppers, cooking until the shrimp turns golden and opaque.
Serving
  1. Arrange the steak on a plate alongside the shrimp and peppers. Serve with creamy mashed potatoes garnished with parsley.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate the steak in the seasoning overnight. Serve with buttery corn on the cob and a fresh salad.
