Ingredients

For the Steak and Eggs
  • 1 lb steak, cut into bite-sized cubes Choose well-marbled cuts for tenderness.
  • 2 pieces eggs Cook sunny side up for best results.
  • 3 large potatoes, cut into fries Russet potatoes are recommended.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter Can be omitted for a dairy-free version.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small red chili, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste Be generous for best flavor.
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • Dried herbs for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by heating oil in a pan or preheating the oven to 425°F (220°C). Fry the potatoes until they are golden brown and crispy, around 15-20 minutes.
  2. While the fries are cooking, season the steak cubes with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat and add the steak cubes. Sear for 3-4 minutes until browned and juicy, adding butter, garlic, and chili towards the end.
  4. Carefully crack the eggs into the skillet alongside the steak and cook sunny side up.
  5. Serve the crispy fries topped with seared steak bites and eggs, garnished with chopped parsley and dried herbs.
