Ingredients

For the Steak
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into cubes Look for well-marbled sirloin for the best flavor and tenderness.
  • 1 tsp paprika Adds a smoky flavor.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1 tsp black pepper Freshly ground is preferred.
  • 1 tsp chili flakes For additional spice.
  • Salt to taste Season according to preference.
For the Fries
  • 2 large potatoes Russet potatoes are ideal due to their starchy texture.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For cooking the fries.
For the Eggs
  • 2 eggs Fried sunny-side up.
  • 2 tbsp butter Used for frying the eggs and steak.
For Flavor
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds richness to the dish.
  • 1 tsp parsley, chopped For garnish and freshness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Cut the potatoes into fry shapes and soak them in water for 15 minutes to remove excess starch.
  2. While soaking, season the steak cubes with paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, chili flakes, and salt.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet and melt the butter with minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add the seasoned steak cubes and sear for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. In the same skillet, crack the eggs and fry them sunny-side up until whites are set and yolks are runny.
  4. Fry the soaked potatoes in oil until crispy and golden.
Plating
  1. Arrange the crispy fries on a plate, followed by the seared steak bites and the fried eggs.
  2. Spoon any remaining garlic butter over the steak and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For best results, marinate the steak overnight. Double-frying the potatoes can enhance their texture. Avoid cooking both steak and eggs excessively; a meat thermometer can help achieve perfect doneness.
