Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 2 lbs beef stew meat or beef cubes Choose well-marbled cuts for tenderness.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Consider using artisanal BBQ sauce for enhanced flavor.
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce Use tamari for a gluten-free option.
For the Fries
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into thick fries
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
For the Coleslaw
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • 1 lime halved For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toss beef cubes in salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet until shimmering, then add beef. Sear for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Add the thinly sliced onions to the skillet and cook until golden and fragrant, about 3 minutes.
Cooking the Beef
  1. Stir in BBQ sauce, honey, and soy sauce. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cooking the Fries
  1. Toss potato fries with vegetable oil and a teaspoon of salt in a bowl.
  2. Spread fries on a baking sheet and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. Flip fries halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Making the Coleslaw
  1. In a separate bowl, mix shredded cabbage, julienned carrots, mayonnaise, lemon juice, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are coated evenly.
Assembly & Serving
  1. Serve sticky BBQ beef bites hot alongside crispy fries and creamy coleslaw.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley and lime wedges. Prepare the coleslaw close to serving time for the freshest taste.

Notes

For extra crispy fries, soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before tossing in oil and baking.
