Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces Chicken thighs, bone-in skin-on
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves minced
  • 2 large Navel oranges cut into wedges
  • 1 tbsp fresh Thyme
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup fresh Orange juice

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, honey, soy sauce, orange juice, minced garlic, paprika, thyme, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Cut the navel oranges into wedges and place them around the chicken in the baking dish.
Cooking
  1. Roast in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice golden color.
  2. Baste the chicken halfway through the cooking time with the juices in the pan.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with fresh thyme sprigs and orange wedges.

Notes

For the best flavor, marinate the chicken for at least an hour or overnight if you have time. Adjust honey or soy sauce based on your preference. Optionally, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat. Use a meat thermometer to confirm the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) for safety.
