  • Salt and pepper to taste To season the coleslaw.
For Serving
  • Ketchup For dipping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken drumsticks with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Coat the seasoned chicken in the flour mixture.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F.
  2. Carefully add the chicken and fry until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. While the chicken is frying, cook the fries in another pot or bake them until crispy and golden.
  4. In a bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Serving
  1. Serve the crispy chicken with hot fries and coleslaw on the side. Add ketchup for dipping.

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying for that crispy texture. Marinating the chicken in buttermilk overnight can add juiciness. For even crispier fries, soak them in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking.
