  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Chow Mein Ingredients
  • 12 oz chow mein noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups bok choy or cabbage, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free option.
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to achieve crispy wings.
  2. In a large bowl, toss chicken wings with vegetable oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Arrange the wings in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Baking Wings
  1. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  2. While the wings bake, melt butter in a saucepan, add minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, and brown sugar, stirring until thick and fragrant.
  3. Once the wings are finished baking, toss them in the honey glaze and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Preparing Chow Mein
  1. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat; stir-fry broccoli, carrots, onions, and bok choy for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add chow mein noodles to the skillet with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and black pepper; toss well.
  4. Serve wings alongside chow mein, garnished with extra sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. Freeze wings separately for up to 3 months.
