Ingredients

For the fries
  • 26 oz French fries, frozen
For the sauce
  • 2 tbsp All purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne powder
  • 2 tsp Ranch seasoning powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp White pepper ground
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 8 oz White cheddar cheese

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the frozen French fries according to package instructions until golden and crisp.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the all-purpose flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until it forms a paste.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  5. Add in the cayenne powder, ranch seasoning, salt, and white pepper.
  6. Cook the sauce until it thickens, then stir in the white cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Drizzle the cheese sauce over the cooked French fries and serve.

Notes

Serve hot so the sauce stays creamy. Add extra ranch or hot sauce on the side. Store fries and sauce separately in airtight containers for up to 2 days. Reheat fries in the oven or air fryer to keep them crisp.
