Ingredients
  

For the Sticky BBQ Chicken
  • 6 pieces chicken drumsticks Opt for plump drumsticks with skin for maximum flavor.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce Substitutable with gluten-free BBQ sauce.
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
For the Seasoned Fries
  • 1 1/2 lbs crinkle-cut fries Follow package instructions for cooking.
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder For seasoning.
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley For garnish.
  • salt to taste Salt
For the Garden Salad
  • 2 cups green leaf lettuce Fresh is best.
  • 1/2 piece cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 piece red onion, thinly sliced
  • 6 pieces cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or garlic aioli For serving.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Fresh parsley

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, coat the chicken drumsticks with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cooking the Chicken
  1. Place the seasoned drumsticks on a baking sheet, spaced apart. Bake for 35-40 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  2. In another bowl, mix together BBQ sauce, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Brush over chicken towards the end of baking, returning to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes.
Making the Fries
  1. Cook crinkle-cut fries according to package instructions until crispy. Season with garlic powder, parsley, and salt after cooking.
Preparing the Salad
  1. In a bowl, toss together green leaf lettuce, cucumber, red onion, and cherry tomatoes.
Serving
  1. To serve, create a bed of lettuce on each plate, place BBQ chicken drumsticks on top, and accompany with seasoned fries and garnish with salad.

Notes

Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container for 3 days. Reheat at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes to maintain crispy texture.
